Job Summary 

 

 

  • Efficiently Operate Utility Equipment i.e., Compressor, Chiller, Cooling Tower, Water treatment, Steam Accumulator, Gas regulator

Essential Job Functions

  • Record Keeping and Analysis of data related to utility equipment
  • Record keeping and analysis of all measurable units such as: temperature, pressure, Flow and other
  • Monitor and analyze of utility performance data
  • Analysis of consumed utility amount per product produced
  • Collect water samples and test pH, hardness and conductivity
  • Consumed utility analysis and report summary to supervisor
  • Communicate all daily task and equipment
  • Perform maintenance to major equipment: Comp, Chiller, CT, Water treatment, Steam Actuator, and Gas regulator
  • Analyze and troubleshoot equipment
  • Monitor and maintain equipment with support of trained equipment technician from manufacturer
  • Submit improvements of performance reducing energy consumption
  • Small spare parts inspection .i.e., filters, oil coolant
  • Chemical maintenance (HCL, NAOH, Cooling Tower Chemical)
  • Mechanical spare parts (Mechanical, Piping, Electrical Component)
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Attend company trainings
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • This position works 12-hour shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating, rotating nights & days every 4 weeks), which includes days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.      
  • This position works in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposures to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, vibrations, varying atmospheric conditions and temperatures, hazardous chemicals, high pressure steam, dust
  • This position regularly requires the ability to remain in a stationary position up to 30% of shift, standing, walking extended distances, ascending/descending stairs extended distances, close/distance vision. 
  • Ability to walk majority of shift in order to get readings from multiple locations onsite
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders to get to valves on cooling towers
  • Must be able to wear full-face respirator and protective equipment for testing. This includes minimal facial hair in order to ensure proper fit in of respirator in accordance with OSHA regulations. Must complete annual medical monitoring program, including pulmonary function testing.

Education and Experience:

 

  • High school diploma / GED
