As our concert season comes to a close, we celebrate the talents of the winners of the FDAS Youth Artists Competition. (Held annually in January, please visit https://fdsymphony.org/young-artists-competition/ for more information) Our concert begins with music by Rimsky-Korsakov, includes an overture by 16-year-old Iowa composer Adalyn Sidon, and concludes with the first orchestration of Pictures at an Exhibition, which transformed Mussorgsky’s set of piano pieces to the full forces of the symphony orchestra. Join us at 2:25pm for the Youth Honors Recital.
